Bonjour Aurélie, I had a big "aha moment" today as I listened to your video and did the exercise. It made sense to me that hearing spoken French would differ from the formal French. In today's online quiz, there were many sentences to practice, and for me, it was a huge eye-opener. I found myself thinking that I never would've thought to hear that phrase/sentence pronounced in this way. Thank you!
This has been so helpful for me, Aurélie. Listening to you discuss les "enchainments" and practicing this afternoon was key for me today. I'm also realizing more and more this is where I'm getting lost when I'm listening to a tv show. I find if I read the subtitles in French, I do much better. But of course, if I ever visit France, there won't be subtitles when I'm trying to speak to someone.

I recently completed the Spoken French Decoded course. The lessons are so much fun! There is a lot of useful information in the course about how the French language is really spoken in everyday life. This is not the typical course that teaches textbook French. The lessons were easy to understand and the exercises helped to reinforce the material. After taking the course, I have improved my ability to understand French series and films. I highly recommend it!
